Words for a life being formed.
These daily devotions adapt Wonder Words: A Thirty-Week Devotional Journey for Whole-Person Formation by Dr. R. C. Titus.
The book contains 30 weekly chapters in three movements:
- Receiving God’s Forming Grace: words 1–10.
- Practicing the Way of Christ: words 11–20.
- Joining God’s Renewing Work: words 21–30.
This web companion follows the same words in the same order. It groups them into six five-day plans, two within each movement. The plan titles describe this daily adaptation; the three movement titles come from the book.
| Plan | Title | Words in order |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Grace for the Next Step | Brave, Feelings, Practice, Hope, Wisdom |
| 02 | Attention, Belonging, and Purpose | Listen, Focus, Together, Different, Purpose |
| 03 | A Heart Shaped by Christ | Calm, Honest, Reflect, Persevere, Kind |
| 04 | Love in Everyday Life | Care, Words, Trust, Curious, Serve |
| 05 | Faithful with Our Gifts | Lead, Respect, Plan, Share, Responsibility |
| 06 | Growing into Our Calling | Understand, Grow, Choose, Belong, Calling |
One word can take time.
Each day includes a shorter devotional, selected Scripture passages, a reflection question, one practice, and a prayer. You may read one each day, stay with a word for a week, or return when it becomes timely. The full book offers the longer weekly journey.
The readings keep Christ at the center of formation. Grace meets us before we perform well, and the Holy Spirit helps truth take shape in ordinary life. The book’s six interconnected dimensions are spiritual, intellectual, emotional, relational, physical, and vocational. They describe one whole life being formed in relationship with God and others.

Scripture credits
All Scripture passages displayed on this website use the World English Bible Updated (WEBU), American English edition, using LORD or GOD for the divine name in the Old Testament. This edition is in the public domain. The book itself uses several translations; the web companion consistently uses WEBU.
Passages are reproduced from the official eBible.org edition, with links to their source chapters. Scripture wording and verse numbers are preserved; paragraph and poetry line breaks are presented for this reading layout. Devotional explanations are adaptations and are distinct from the quoted Scripture.
